I used some pictures I took in the National Botanical Garden of Dublin to compose this collage, where Bella is the Lotus Fairy. The Garden boasts a beautiful lotus pond, and that is the scenery for my Fairy's dwell. Bella wears a beautiful crimson sari and sitis regally on a floating lotus. She is a Hindu Fairy Queen, and carries a beautiful bouquet of dark red lotuses. I used the positive, Estern meaning of the flower here: a symbol of life and regeneration, as opposed to the Victorian meaning which is "estranged love"! The frame is made of carved sandalwood portraying lotuses pods and leaves.
