This collage is based, once again, on yet another illustration by Coles Phillips, dated 1912, and contained in his book "A Young Man's Fancy". I have as well used myself and Bella and turned this into a self-portrait, and yet another tribute to Mr. Phillips. This version here would be called "Forever 2". I love the fact that he seemed to enjoy portraying collies (albeit rough and not border ones!), besides those "fadeaway girls" that are always present in his work. I have replaced what seemd to be an ashtray and matches by a bouquet of wild roses and added some lace to the lady's sleeves.
