As it most usually happens with the Language of Flowers, the carnation will have multiple meanings depending on their shades. Here I use the meaning commonly associated to the rosy/pink carnations: "I will Never Forget You". I have used a series of old jewelry for Bella, including a vintage brooch in the shape of a carnation that made a pretty red crown and an over-the-top necklace under a collar of transparent dianthus petals. Her dress I made all frilly and pointy to remind the shape of the carnation petals. Finally I have built a rosy-brown frame using a William Morris design of a carnation, my all-time favourite.
