In 1978, I became obsessed with all things Tolkien and started drawing Middle-Earth themed compositions. These two were completed in 1980 more or less, as far as I can remember, and is based on the Saul Zaentz animation "The Lord of the Rings" that I saw around 8 times when released (a bit exaggerated, I know). Fort the drawings, I mostly used acrylics, oil pastels for the skies and somewatercolour here and there, over paper. Since it is already very old, I have digitised it in Photoshop, to keep it somehow.
