Bella's Gallery of Dog Art - Part 16 (A Modern Lady)

Bella is Lady Wolfsley, by Sir Chowchow Reynolds. A collage based on the portrait of Lady Worsley, by Sir Joshua Reynolds, 18th Century. Mostly because I absolutely love her dress!

2015
Bella is back with her Artwork collection! Last month she has acquired a new masterpiece: the portrait of Lady Wolfsley by Sir ChowChow Reynolds. Lady Wolfsley was a flamboyant aristocrat from the 18th Century and had a very modern relationship with her husband who allowed to have the occasional boyfriend. But things did not end well and they ended up separating after a series of scandals and gossips and her eloping with a friend of her hubby, Mr. George Basset. Poor Lady Wolfsley...

This collage is based on the portrait of Lady Worsley, by Sir Joshua Reynolds. Mr. George Bisset was her great passion, it seems, but after a complicated turn of events, she ended up with a gentleman 21 years her junior when she was 47 years-old and after her husband's death.
