"Low Tide" is my rendering for Vladimir Petkovic's stone head. I had some of Susanna Clarke's new "Piranesi" book in my mind, and also the etchings of the real Giovanni Battista in my mind. Here you can see an image of the great halls and its arches reflected on mirrored walls, with the head of one giant statue shattered on the sands. The result is a bit melancholic, and an image of solitude perhaps. I applied the effect of old Black and White photos to it, and might as well post the original coloured images. Thanks Vladimir, for such a lovely and romantic prop!
