I made a collage to celebrate my favourite animal, the Dog. This year, in Chinese Astrology, is the Year of the Dog, starting on Feb 16th. Around the same time we adopted Bella 8 years ago. The Year of the Dog, and the Dog of the Year. Of all years for us! Here she is wearing a beautiful, floating Hanfu, with a flowery traditional Chinese headpiece and praticing some Tai Chi, maybe. Or some kind of Martial Art! I have decided to use shades of celadon (that grayish green-blue so common in Chinese porcelain) and images of Foo dogs, old Chinese coins and romantic flowers. The Moon is high in the sky and shining over the mountains, with lots of fireflies celebrating along and around the Dog. This Year of the Earth Dog promises to be an auspicious one!
