Here is another painting from Bella's collection. This time a beautiful oil by John Springer Salient: "Dame Bellen Terrier Plays Lady Macdogh", from the famous Barkspeare's play "Macdogh". Lady Macdogh was a very wicked Queen of Scotland, a witch, a somnambulist, and a very treacherous bitch in general - among other lovely qualities. Dame Bellen Terry was a great Victorian actor and played the role very well - especially that sleepwalking scene.
