This artwork is called "When I First Saw You". I used a model of the head of a bronze sculpture from the Petit Palais in Paris. She is called "La Femme Au Singe" (Woman With a Monkey) and depicts a lady in full body and wonderful dress, delicately holding a tiny monkey by the leash. It is by Camille Alaphilippe, and an art-nouveau masterpiece. Pity I have only the head, but her face is just exquisite. Today I was in the mood for something a bit more romantic, and she came to bright my melancholy times.
